Bring on the bears.

Another lovely morning in Canada. Well at least on the east coast of Vancouver Island.

We travelled by boat from Campbell River to a remote inlet on the mainland.

At last! Guess what we have seen. BEARS.

In the bushes at the other side of the stream are two grizzlies eating salmon. They hide well!

Very pleased to have finally seen bears. Then comes the news that there is a mother with three cubs a little way down the river.

Fantastic seeing the bears but then to spoil us on the way home the skipper manages to find us a pod of approximately 150 pacific white sided dolphins. If you have ever tried to photograph a dolphin you will appreciate how difficult these photos were to take.

What a day, I think we will sleep well tonight.

    1. No need to worry as I was pepared to push Mum in front of me if they came our way!
Amazing to see in the wild with nothing between them and us.
The dolphins were incredible, just a sight hard to explain. Mum has wanted to see dolphins for years so to see so many made her so happy. xx

    1. I did my best with the photos. I was wishing that I had more than a compact camera. It was an incredible day Rachel and it hardly feels as if it was real.
