It was a bit of a wet start in Victoria.
We saw a grizzly! Ok I confess it was not a real one. We decided to visit the BC museum as an alternative to walking about in the rain. We both enjoyed the visit spending at least 3 hours inside.
Still raining!
A water taxi, you could see them zipping back and forth across the Inner Harbour. Rather than a taxi this one did trips.
We took a little stroll through the streets using our guide book. We walked down a small alley called Fan Tan Alley and we emerged in Chinatown. It was quite a shock how the street appearance changed after walking through the alley.
The tour bus is a reminder that Victoria is described as being more British than Britain.
The Inner Harbour and the Empress Hotel famous for its afternoon teas.
As the sun came out we had a wander through Beacon Hill Park and stumbled across the worlds tallest Totem Pole.
Hazel was quite upset with me that I had not mentioned that there was a beach she could have sat on reading her book all afternoon!
Not the best of poses as every time I sat on the log it tipped up, must have been a hollow log!
Below are a few of the varied and interesting houses in Victoria.
