Up early again today and looking forward to white water rafting. We arrived at the rafting centre to find that there was only us two on the trip. We where not sure how much fun it would be with just the two of us. Thanks to a stunningly sunny morning we both enjoyed (and survived) our trip down the Athabasca River. We did get splashed a few times going through gentle rapids but Hazel only had to give up paddling once to hang on!
Hazel relaxing back at the B & B after the stress of the morning.
We then drove to yet another lake, Maligne Lake.
I could drive all day on roads like this.
Maligne Canyon. A 51 meter canyon. Didn't find it too impressive after the other sights we have seen.

Gorgeous pics of Maligne Lake...one of my absolute favourites. Guess it's Clearwater Springs next? Still following your progess closely (and with much envy!!)
ReplyDeleteWe also enjoyed Maligne Lake. We gave the boat trips and boat hire a miss as we had been the rafting that morning. We did the lovely Mary Schaffer trail that took us along the lake shore and through the forest behind.
ReplyDeleteWoke up to a glorious day in Clearwater. I said Hazel could have a rest today but let's see how the day progresses!
Glad you are enjoying the photos.
