Last day in Banff must climb all the mountains.

The sun was out and the sky was clear so we had to tackle the hike up Sulphur Mountain. You can take the gondola up but that's not fun, is it? So we set off on the expected 2 hour trail.
It was just dawning on us that 2 hours all up hill was becoming a challenge when a couple came up behind us that we had spoken to yesterday at Lake Louise. It turned out they were Swiss so we had a really interesting chat that gave us a nice break then decided that we must move on.

Probably about half way up.
Rachel, tell Jon I tried his tactic and told Hazel to "man up", unfortunately I cannot repeat her response on this blog!

Banff town below.

Lazy (sensible) people take the Gondola.

Finally at the top. The Swiss gave us a cheer when we arrived, they were younger and looked very fit.
We did make it up in less than 2 hours but to save time took the gondola down.

We then decided to visit Johnston Canyon Lower and Upper Falls. Ok I decided and it was a bit of a mistake! I was expecting it to be flat but it was quite hilly and very busy.

We then returned to Banff to become train spotters. I wanted to see a Canadian goods train with nearly 100 wagons but no train turned up. There are plenty sounding thier horns in the middle of the night when you are trying to sleep.
